No one has ever described with higher words the beauty that manifests itself in the wonders of creation. Il “Canto dei Cantici” of Francis of Assisi is the simplest but the most solemn prayer that man has been able to compose to celebrate the gifts of heaven and earth.

We approached timidly to the Umbrian inland places where the mystic lived, often set apart for fasting and penance. Forests, caves, natural shelters that was the background of his ascetic and quintessential life, have become the inspiration for an intense woody fragrance, which bears a name so full of spiritual meanings.

Tau speaks about love and brotherhood, peace, gratitude and harmony between man and nature.

Notes of musk, grew at the foot of ancient oaks, bring you to clearings and trails. Juniper berries, balsamic lentisco and aromatic sage draw shaded plots on dew’s reflections. Birch and cistus labdanum give a resinous base, tenacious, tempered by a lively geranium and by a sparkling bergamot. Shades of leather at the center of the composition, to remember the steps of Francis, who walked so much in those lonely places.

Tau is fresh perfume, atavistic, primordial.

A hymn to the beauty that is released in the simplicity and in the essentials.

In nature there are life and soul, spirit and transcendence.

Verde Alpi is the marble used for the cap. It has the color of the forest that represents hope.

Nessuno mai ha descritto con parole più elevate la bellezza che si manifesta nelle meraviglie del creato. Il Cantico dei Cantici di Francesco d’Assisi è l’inno più semplice, e al contempo solenne, che l’uomo abbia saputo comporre per i doni del cielo e della terra.

Ci siamo avvicinati timidamente ai luoghi dell’entroterra umbro dove il mistico visse, spesso appartato per digiuni e penitenze. Boschi, grotte, rifugi naturali che fecero da cornice ad una vita ascetica ed esemplare sono diventati lo scenario di ispirazione per una fragranza intensamente boisé, che porta un nome tanto ricco di significati spirituali.

Volevamo che Tau parlasse di amore e fratellanza, di pace, gratitudine e armonia tra l’uomo e la natura.

Note di muschio cresciuto ai piedi di antiche querce introducono in radure e sentieri. Bacche di ginepro, balsamico lentisco e salvia aromatica disegnano trame d’ombra tra riflessi di rugiada. Betulla e cisto labdano conferiscono un fondo resinoso, deciso, stemperato però da un vivace geranio e da un frizzante bergamotto. Sfumature di cuoio al centro della composizione, per ricordare i passi di Francesco che tanto camminò in quei luoghi solitari.

Tau è un profumo fresco, atavico, primordiale.

Un inno alla bellezza che si sprigiona nella semplicità e nell’essenziale. La necessità di toccare nell’intimo le corde del cuore.

Nella natura e nei suoi riflessi ci sono vita e anima, spirito e trascendenza.
